URIMAT has been running strategic partnerships with a number of local governments as well as with multinational companies such as for example Tank&Rast GmbH, Germany’s biggest motorway service operator. With more than 3000 URIMAT waterless urinals Tank&Rast saves approx. 1 billion litres of valuable drinking water per year. With an average water cost price of EUR 5.00 per m3 in Germany the economical savings are substantial. In addition, the saving of 1 billion litres of fresh water equates to an annual CO² emissions reduction of 175 tonnes. URIMAT also established a partnership with the World Expoagua Zaragoza in 2008, where 48 pcs URIMAT waterless urinals were installed as a showcase to proof the environmental efficiency of our products. They have confirmed that URIMAT with its ecological waterless urinals delivered a completely satisfactory result with regard to their functionality, the sanitary guarantee, and absence of odours. In terms of environmental protection, the installation of URIMAT on their facilities has also contributed to enabling them to save 48,000 cubic meters of water during the international exposition during 90 days. The installation simultaneously helped them achieve a reduction of 8.4 tonnes of CO² emissions as well.
