One of the few commercial species from Western Australia, Jarrah is renowned world wide for its density and resistance to insect attack. Jarrah’s unique qualities and beautiful coloring have made it an ideal choice for corporate and residential interiors. Jarrah flooring has a dark, maroon tone which charmingly deepens with the years due to sunlight. It is one of the finest and hardest hardwood materials.
The grain of Jarrah is usually straight, but can be interlocked or wavy. Frequent black streaks and flecks occur in the red heartwood and add to Jarrah’s decorative appeal. A standard in fine homes “down under”, Jarrah makes a rich, refined statement in flooring. Hardness, Janka:1910, 48% harder than Red Oak.
We offer Jarrah flooring in unfinished and its available in both solid and engineered in a variety of widths. If you would like to gain more information on this species please visit www.pawbrandflooring.com
