Can I lay Diamond Essence Ipe decking tiles on a conventional deck sub frame resting on the wood joists?
Cutek Green Wood Preservative selling well in Canada.
Otter Creek is the Canadian Distributor for Cutek Green Wood Preservative. Company officials have received very positive feedback from customers with added interest increasing on a daily basis.
Otter Creek performed many tests with the product prior to bringing the product into its stain and seal lineup. With the harsh Canadian winters and the ever increasing extreme temperatures from hot to cold you need a wood preservative product that can stand up to these conditions, said Robert Abbott, President of the company.
Not all stains and sealers perform in the same manner and customers continue to complian to us that the product they are applying to their deck surface is just not standing up. Its either complains about peeling and cracking or extreme fading. In some rare cases complete breakdown of product has been reported. I must admit that I sometime think its an over reaction to the expectations of customers with the product they are using either by being told by the company that sold the stain or sealer product to them or their understanding of the product they purchased.
No matter which product you purchase and what you are told ALL STAINS with fade over time and reapplication is a fact of life with a wood deck surface and a wood deck will never be totally maintenance free. However, you can purchase products that will reduce and save your deck from continuous maintenance every year and also that will preserve your deck for many years.
You may say I’m trying to be partial to a product our company sells and I can understand people feeling that way BUT this product by far is the best stain, seal and preservative product I have come across EVER.
I’m so confident in this product that if any customer calls and complains the product did not meet with their expectations will refund the product purchase no questions asked. How do I use Cutek ProClean Wood Restoration on my deck?
You simply apply Cutek ProClean liberally to a “PRE-WETTED” deck surface with a brush, roller or garden sprayer. Let Cutek ProClean do most of the work by l;etting it dwell on the deck surface for several minutes to several hours, or such time as deemed to be necessary by the test procedure. It may be necessary to scrb stubborn stains moderately with a stiff fiber brush.
Recoating
Following the restoration of the deck surface with Cutek ProClean, it is important to complete the restoration process by coating the timber with Cutek Green . Applying Cutek Green eliminates the need for any future stripping because it will not form a film that will peel off like a varnish. Additionally, it has been specifically designed to maximize the dimensional stability and aesthetic qualities of natural wood, while providing protection against ultraviolet degradation, moisture and biological growth. Always remember that film-forming coatings can peel and may need to be sanded, stripped or scraped when reapplication is necessary.
It is important that the restored wood is completely dry before the application of Cutek Green. All ow 3-4 days of hot, fine drying weather. If unsure, use a moisture meter to measure the residual moisture content of the restored wood to make sure that it is less than 18% before coating.
Cutek ProClean and Cutek Green is available in Canada and the U.S. through Otter Creek and can be ordered by calling 1-800-981-3590
